What is Number Chewer?
The game we're building will be a clone of Number Munchers. A game designed to teach basic math skills. You're a number chewer who loves eat numbers of a certain type. But the world of numbers is dangerous and filled with monster to get in your way. Chew all the numbers to become a math champ.

Think before Leap
Before jumping straight into ActionScript 3 we should get down in writing the game mechanics and behaviors.
Game Modes
Before starting the game you choose from 5 modes of play:
# Multiples - chew all multiples of the given number (multiplying)
# Factors - chew all factors of the given number (dividing)
# Primes - chew all numbers of that are prime (a number thats only divisible by itself)
# Equality

Levels
Each level has a 6×5 grid full of different numbers. The player must move to each square and eat only numbers according to the selected game mode. When a player has eliminated all of those numbers. They progress to the next level.

Movement
A player can only move within the 6×5 grid. There direction of movement is restricted to up, down left or right. Its not possible to move diagonal.

Eating
You can eat any numbers in the game. You aren't able to eat enemies.
Death and Lives
If you occupy the same sqaure as an enemy you die. If you eat the wrong number you die Every time you die you'll lose a life. You have 4 lives at the start of a game. you can't get more lives during the game.
Safe Squares
Randomly during gameplay a square's border will turn white indicating that if a player stands in that square no enemy can hurt you. After a unknown amount of time the the safe sqaure will blink between green and white meaning that it will no longer be safe sqaure any longer.
Cut Scenes
For every two levels a player completes they get to watch a cutscene of an animated non verbal story involving their player.

Enemies
Enemies will appear entering from one of the squares near the outer border.
There'll be different enemies with different movements and logic.
Highscores
After you finish the game you can enter in your name into the highscore. Only the top ten highscores will be displayed. There'll be a highscores table for each game mode.
